What did you do before joining dBs?
I was, and still am, a touring Front of House (FOH) engineer and venue tech.
Why did you first get into live sound engineering?
I played guitar in a band and developed an interest in the technical side of live music. Like a lot of engineers I fell into the job working in small venues mixing local bands.
Any special areas of interest?
I'm really into mixing consoles.
What do you love most about what you do?
I love mixing live bands and travelling.
Tell us about your proudest career moment?
A string of shows at SXSW in Austin.
What do you get up to outside of your role at dBs?
I like to play chess after mountain biking with my kids.
Tell us something our students may not know about you?
I play Banjo, Sitar, Charango and Stylophone. I also love Phil Collins.
